Part 3 – Pay up please.
My main platform that I use to re-sell is Instagram. It is a social media application that everyone basically already spends hours on daily. It is super easy for the customer to shop. All you have to do is comment saying you want an item that is posted for sale and right away it is pretty much claimed as yours… that is…… as long as the customer pays for it in the end.
So, remember when I was talking about how my Instagram sales are mostly successful, but not always? Well, let’s see. Where should I even begin? I love Instagram. I admit, I may love it a bit too much, but that isn’t the point here. Online selling is completely different than a regular shop. At a regular shop, you must pay for the items you decide to add to your shopping basket when you’re done shopping. In my online shop, I am lenient and allow for customers to put items on hold until they are ready for me to ship my items.
Seriously, it sucks to say this, but I regret being so kind and generous sometimes. I get taken advantage of so easily! They ask me to buy like $50 USD worth of stuff and I go and buy it all for them, because I am a nice person, and then they say, “Oh, can I pay you next week?” LIKE WHAT THE HELL? You are shopping and don’t even have money to shop? Are you like 6 years old? My niece who is 4 has more money than you saved up. That’s because she is 4 and doesn’t spend money at Starbucks every morning like we do, but again, that is beside the point. You shouldn’t be shopping if you don’t have money. Do you go to Forever 21 with an empty wallet and expect to go home with that new cute crop top? I. Don’t. Think. So. !!! So please, if you are going to online shop with me, HAVE YOUR MONEY READY. I’m trying to make a living here. If I keep paying for all your stuff out of my pocket, I won’t have money for lunch. Sometimes this is sadly true. I don’t have enough money to go out to eat lunch with my coworkers because I spent it on shopping for stuff for my “customers.”
If only late payments were my only issue… HA!!!! Now, imagine buying $100 USD worth of stuff that a customer requested, only for them to cancel the order.. Yea bitch no. Never again am I selling to you!!! You make me want to cry and throw rocks at you! Luckily I can resell most of the items most of the time, but sometimes… I want to punch you in the face.
