I work in automotive repair at a large national chain. There are 2 basic priorities. Maximize sales and do not generate customer complaints.
Last night I get a text at 10:30pm stating that my coworker is sick. He was supposed to work today.
My store manager just put in his 2 weeks so he doesn’t care. My district manager says he has no resources for us but don’t close the store for staff sickness or he will look bad. I went in to help out because I am a douche bag.
When I get there I wanted to close the store early so my daughter could go to a friend’s party. I call all the customers whose appts. are later in the day and tell them I need to rescjedule their appts. It made some of the mad. So there I am trying to maneuver my way out of a million Potential complaints. Dodging missiles like I’m in a fucking Vin Diesel film.
You know who complained? The person whose state inspection ran out and could get a $140 ticket tonight thanks to my store closing early? No. The person whose chevy equinox whose rear diff is still leaking oil all over her driveway because we didn’t have time for her scheduled 500$ repair? Nope.
You want to know who complained? Some stupid bitch who called and asked if we could do her oil change right away and then declined to set up the appointment I offered. Well excuse me you fucking arrogant bitch. Maybe when your maintenance light came on last month you should have scheduled an appointment like everybody else.
I satisfy a dozen customers with valid reasons to complain and I get a call from consumer affairs because of this bull shit! Fuck you bitch! You don’t have time to schedule an oil change but you have time to call and complain. Everyone in your life wishes they weren’t and this incident indicates why. Go fuck yourself.
